Kampong Speu, Borseth--With the support from Cambodian Center for study and Development in Agriculture (CEDAC), Farmer Livelihood Development organization (FLD) and Farmer and Nature Net on 25 September 2010 Svay Chorchib Development Community holds its first General Assembly aim to set up the Board of Director and controlling committee. This was the day that the provincial department of agriculture accepts and registers the Svay Chorcheob Development Community officially.
In good cooperation with (CBSP) of CEDAC, on September 21, 2010, FNN organized a first self-financing workshop for Kampong Cham’s Pig Producers Groups at CEDAC’s chicken slaughter house in Cheung Prey district. Unlike previous workshops, the organizer team sent out invitation letters to all members with clear instruction and information that the workshop will not pay them. It means that the workshop is a self-commitment, self-motivation and self-finance.
On October 13, 2010, FNN organized a district networks’ meeting at provincial level at Rokar Krao commune office, Donkeo city, Takeo province, where 25 participants included acilitator, organizer and resource person (whom 7 were female) attended. Among them were included CEDAC president, FNN president, FNN director, CEDAC staff, chairmen, vice chairmen and treasurers of 9 district networks of FNN in Takeo province.
At its own office, on 28 October 2010, Farmer and Nature Net hold a meeting with AFDI to conclude the consequences of a one and a half month of AFDI in Cambodia. There were 19 participants whom include 11 women from target provinces. Representative of French farmer and all staffs of FNN also were there. Mr Uon Sophal, FNN president was the facilitator during the meeting.
At its own office, Phnom Penh, on 28 October 2010, there was a meeting between representative of Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA) and Farmer and Nature Net (FNN) aim to discuss the 2nd phase of their cooperation on pilot project of Agricultural Cooperatives of Rice (ACR).
Workshop on strategic plan development for reinforcement and expansion of saving for community prosperity 3-4 November 2010
In order to reinforce and expand the activities in support local network of village-based saving groups (local SoSor), CEDAC and FNN organized two day workshop from 3 to 4 November 2010. The workshop was held at CEDAC office in Angtasom, Takeo province. 26 representatives and 14 assistants of the local networks participated in the workshop and 5 staff members of CEDAC and FNN participated in the workshop. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Yang Saing Koma, (CEDAC president and FNN advisor, Mr. Pan Sopheap (FNN Director) and Mr. Tath Sok (SoSor program coordinator)
FNN, in cooperation with CEDAC and with funding support from CCA, organized a meeting to establish the national confederation of rice business cooperatives on Friday, November 12, 2010. The meeting was held at the CEDAC head office in Phnom Penh. In total, 37 representatives from eight core cooperatives in four provinces participated, including Kampong Speu, Takeo, Kampot and Kampong Chhnang.

Second meeting of FNN district network leaders was organized on November 18, 2010, at Rokar Krao commune office, Donkeo city, Takeo province, which was financially supported by EED. There were 12 FNN district network leaders from 6 districts of Takeo province participated in the meeting and facilitated by FNN national president, Mr. Uon Sophal, and Executive Director, Mr. Pan Sopheap.
