Awareness Raising on Social Protection among AC Members (ARSPAM)

FNN, in cooperation with GIZ, implements Awareness Raising on Social Protection among AC Members (ARSPAM) project. It is a tart of Social Protection funding by GIZ. The overall objective is to raise awareness on social protection for the development of a social protection culture as well as the expansion of the social protection system in the country. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to reduce social and economic risk and vulnerability, and to alleviate extreme poverty and deprivation of the community members. A greater number of vulnerable Cambodians would be able to benefit from the social protection coverage that they are entitled to the social protection system. The project expects that the community members have accessed to the social assistance and social security schemes provided by the national and sub-national competent institutions.

The project identified 16 provinces (Batneay Meanchey, Battambang, Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Kampot, Kampong Chhnang, Keb, Kratie, Mondulkiri, Preah Vihear, Pursat, Siem Reap, Stung Treng, and Takeo province), 56 district, and 70 communes for implementing the social protection awareness raising project. It is consisted of about 70 Agriculture Cooperatives (ACs).  The total beneficiaries are 5,452 people (they are 32 AC trainers, 1,920 AC members, 1,500 villagers, 2000 people).Social Protection Training Manual
